This is a robber fly (Philonicus albiceps, Asilidae) taken in the morning when it was still moistened with dew.

Robber flies hunt for other insects. This one prefers sandy and dry areas.

Yes, I feel that way, too. I would always prefer natural and non-arranged photos over artificials.

But if the photographer declares an image as artificial or arranged a priori it's okay for me - given that the animals were not harmed.
